Third man charged over fatal Father's Day shooting

A third man, accused of being the getaway driver, has been charged after a man was gunned down in his front yard north of Brisbane on Father's Day.

Clinton Pollock, 35, was shot in the chest at his Deception Bay home late on Sunday night and died at the scene as family and neighbours tried to save his life.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Hogan said Mr Pollock's sister was at the home when the shooting happened and was among those who tried to save his life.

"She's devastated as you can imagine, and the family are trying to process through the grief," Senior Sergeant Hogan said.

Officers arrested a third man at a motel in Kallangur, also in the Moreton Bay region, on Friday and took him to Redcliffe Police Station where they charged him as an accessory after the fact to murder.

It will be alleged the 25-year-old Deception Bay man drove a car from the scene after Mr Pollock had been shot at his Thompson Street home.

The accused appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.

A 26-year-old Rothwell man and a 28-year-old Scarborough man have already been charged with murder.

Zachary John Hall, 28, who appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Thursday, did not apply for bail and will face court again on November 6.

Justin Meale, 26, was remanded in custody after his court appearance on Tuesday.
