Police have identified and ruled out dozens of drivers who went past a Brisbane property on the night Megan Kirley was shot dead earlier this month, but have been left with two mystery cars.

The cyclist who became the focus of the murder investigation at the weekend has been identified, spoken to by detectives and ruled out.
The man was captured on CCTV cameras riding near Woodridge train station, about two kilometres from the scene, around the time Ms Kirley, 40, was found dead in the Karawatha home.
Inspector Craig Morrow said the process of elimination had been successful since police appealed for drivers who travelled on Wembley Road between 2.45am and 3.20am on February 9 to come forward.
"We've had a great response from members of the public coming forward," he said.
"We are confident we will identify these two vehicles and drivers, but we don’t want to be two or three weeks down the line and still trying to do that," he said.
Police have asked for public help to identify the drivers of an orange sedan and white dual cab ute towing a trailer, which travelled separately through the intersection of Wembley Road and Arshad Drive in Karawatha just after 3am, minutes before Ms Kirley's body was found.
They both travelled east along Wembley Road and were spotted by detectives combing through security camera footage from the area, but investigators could not make out their number plates.
Inspector Morrow said the Wembley Road property on the outskirts of southern Brisbane was still a crime scene, more than 10 days it was first cordoned off following the discovery of Ms Kirley's body.
Several "items of interest" have been seized and the search continued on Tuesday.
"We are slowly piecing together what we thnk has happened," Inspector Morrow said.
"It’s a long process, there’s a lot of testing that has been done over the last 12 days, a lot of people have been spoken to, there’s a lot more people yet to be spoken to, a lot more doorknocks to be done [and] a lot more CCTV to view.
"So we’re progressing slowly, but I know we will get there in the end."
Police have kept Ms Kirley's family informed throughout the investigation.
"They’re doing well, we’re in communication with them, they’re being very supportive of the police investigation to date and it's important we look after their welfare," Inspector Morrow said.
Ms Kirley was found dead at a semi-rural home on Wembley Road in the southern Brisbane suburb of Karawatha after police received a triple-zero call about 3.15am on Saturday, February 9.
However, neighbours reported hearing what they believed were gunshots several hours earlier.
Detectives spent almost four hours at the Karawatha property on Friday night shooting various guns and conducting tests on the sounds they made.
Ms Kirley suffered a single gunshot wound to her head and was found by the man she lived at the home with, 37-year-old Pieter Pickering.
He was believed to have been in a relationship with the victim for the past six months, who was staying with him at the time of her death.
Mr Pickering was questioned by detectives last weekend. He was later released without charge and continues to assist investigators with their inquiries.
Ms Kirley's friend April Ehlers said last week she was bothered there had been no arrests.
"This beautiful ... and intelligent woman who was so strong and so against violence who had to fight her entire life, how (did) she come to such a violent and horrific ending all alone?" she said.
"She didn't have enemies, she was a good, gentle person.
"Whoever did this is still walking free."
