You thought Saturday morning was cold? Well, the mercury dipped even lower in Brisbane on Sunday, with the Bureau of Meteorology revealing it was the coldest morning for four years.

For many other areas of the state, it was the coldest morning since Saturday, but the southern Queensland town of Roma, about 450 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, shivered through its lowest temperature since 1997 with a morning low of -5.3 degrees.
Brisbane Airport dipped to 4.2 degrees on Sunday and the city dropped to 5.2 at 6.36am — 1.5 degrees cooler than the Saturday morning low.
BoM meteorologist Gordon Banks said it was the coldest morning in the River City since July 12, 2014 when a morning minimum of 2.6 degrees was recorded.
Wellcamp Airport, in the Toowoomba region, shivered through a low of -6.2 degrees, nearby Oakey recorded -5.2 and Applethorpe, near the state border, dipped to -5.
"At the moment, we’ve got a combination of dry air, little wind and clear skies over us, which are the perfect conditions for cold temperatures overnight," Mr Banks said.
"During the next few days, a bit of moisture is forecast to creep back closer to the coast.
"Brisbane is expecting minimums of 7-9 degrees next week with maximums in the low 20s. Dry air is coming through next weekend so we are in for a repeat of the cold temperatures after that.
"There will be no change in inland parts of the state during the week, but we may see a cloud increase and light showers through southern interior on Thursday.
"The cloud later in the week may see morning temperatures increase a little bit, but for the rest of the week, we will see some areas of sub-zero temperatures in the southern interior."
