A woman has been hit in the face with a gun and her father had a car reversed into him during an assault in Brisbane's north on Christmas Eve.

Detectives released vision on Wednesday of a man who could help with investigations following the incident at Alderley on December 24.
Police said a 19-year-old woman parked her car outside a Goskar Avenue home about 6.15pm when a stolen black Mazda CX5 was pulled up near her and the male passenger got out and demanded her car keys.
The woman refused and the man hit her in the face with the butt of a gun, police alleged.
Her father came out of a house and told the man to leave but was threatened with what was believed to be a rifle.
Police said the driver of the Mazda CX5 then reversed into the father, causing him to fall to the ground before the man got into the car and fled.
The woman was taken to the Wesley Hospital where she remained with facial and eye injuries.
Her father received injuries to his legs.
Police said the woman was not known to the man who assaulted her.
The Mazda CX5 was stolen from a Fitzgibbon residence about 11.15am on Monday and it was last seen leaving a Brisbane Airport petrol station on Great Barrier Road at 12.45pm without the driver paying for fuel.
