Man finds son after fatal Moe hit-and-run

A man has died after he was hit by a car while walking home from a night out in Victoria’s south-east.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Creina O’Grady said the father of the 26-year-old victim heard the collision on Becks Bridge Road, Moe, and ran out to find his son on the road.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman Paul Bentley said paramedics were called to the scene about 6.30am on Sunday, where they found the man not breathing.

They attempted to save him, but were unable to do so.

Ms O’Grady said police are treating the collision as a hit and run, and urge anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
