Police seek witnesses to shootings

Police are seeking witnesses to two separate shootings in Melbourne overnight.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said that a man was shot in both legs outside a Timms Avenue home in Kilsyth just before 2am on Saturday.

"The man has been shot in the legs as he tried to leave the scene.

"A resident has raised the alarm after hearing a commotion in the street."

The 21-year-old Croydon man was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.

Detectives are also appealing for witnesses after shots were fired at a Reservoir home at about 11pm on Friday night.

Darebin crime investigation unit detectives say one bullet penetrated a front window of a Henty Road property with 12 adults home at the time.

Another bullet hit a silver Ford sedan outside the house.

No one was injured.

A white station wagon was seen leaving the scene.
