Labor backbencher Tara Cheyne lodged a complaint to the ACT's Commissioner for Standards because an opposition MP blocked her on Facebook and deleted two of her comments.

The commissioner for parliamentary standards Ken Crispin QC, wrote a report in response to the complaint and found no code had been breached, recommending it should be dismissed.
Ms Cheyne lodged the complaint on June 28 claiming Liberal spokeswoman for transport Candice Burch breached the code of conduct requiring members to act with "integrity, honesty and diligence".
The complaint related to a Facebook post made by Ms Burch on June 6 saying Labor tripled rates but failed to improve bus services.
Alleging the post was "dishonest", Ms Cheyne made two lengthy comments on it, saying Ms Burch knew the government planned to improve the bus network, with the minister previously advising Ms Burch of the expansions in the Assembly.
Ms Burch then removed both posts and blocked her.
In response to the complaint Ms Burch maintain her post did not contain erroneous information and was factually accurate, and said Ms Cheyne's comments amounted to "trolling".
"After multiple comments were made, I took this to be trolling behaviour and made the decision to block her from my page," she said in the investigation report.
In a fiery exchange on Thursday, Ms Cheyne told the Assembly Ms Burch continued to block her on Facebook.
“I always thought the Canberra Liberals believed in freedom of Speech," she said.
“Why block? Why block?”
Ms Cheyne criticised Ms Burch for saying it was "unbecoming" to engage in social media arguments.
She implied Ms Burch was hypocritical for on Wednesday posting a "meme" on social media criticising Labor backbenchers for failing to support her motion.
“Get it together, you've been here nine months, work it out," Ms Cheyne said to Ms Burch.
Ms Burch told the Assembly she did not believe her desire to avoid a public argument with another member via social media was in any way relevant to her honesty and integrity.
She said the Chief Minister had on a number of occasions blocked and unblocked members of the Assembly on social media.
In his report about the complaint, Dr Crispin found Ms Burch did not act dishonestly in making the post or removing the comments.
He said it was not appropriate for him to express a view as to whether members of the Assembly should be free to block their members.
In further comments, Ms Burch said the "petulant" complaint was a complete waste of resources and the speech in the Assembly "embarrassing".
"You would hope that Ms Cheyne had better things to do than waste a retired judge's time on her petty social media issues," she said.
“This is simply another attempt by the Barr Government to shut down debate and silence those who disagree with them. I'll continue to communicate with my electorate through all available means.”
