The ACT Greens have announced Tim Hollo will represent the party in the seat of Canberra at the next federal election, where the party will attempt to elect its second lower house MP.

Mr Hollo is executive director of the Green Institute, a not for profit left-wing organisation.
In introducing the federal candidates, Greens leader in the Legislative Assembly Shane Rattenbury said he was glad to quash the rumours he would run for a seat on the hill.
Jonathan Davis will run in the seat of Bean, covering Tuggeranong and Woden areas, and Andrew Braddock will challenge Labor's Andrew Leigh in Fenner, which covers Belconnen and Gungahlin.
The new electorate boundaries of Canberra were created in the Australian Electoral Commission's recent redistribution of electorates, where the ACT gained a third lower house seat. Canberra will take in both the inner south and inner north, and with no incumbent MP from Labor, the Greens believe they can pull off a large swing to win the seat.
Mr Hollo said the party was inspired by campaigns outside the ACT like Melbourne federally and at state level, and Newtown in NSW when looking at how to mount a viable challenge against the Labor party.
"When new seats have been declared in areas which really do share Greens values, the Greens have won those seats with swings of 12 to 14 per cent," Mr Hollo said.
It's not clear yet if the campaign will have the same financial resources and focus used in those recent campaigns.
"It's very early days but certainly the federal Greens are very interested in the seat, looking at it with a great deal of interest, and we certainly expect that we'll have some good resources to take on this campaign," Mr Hollo said.
The party has signalled it will make a concerted push for the Senate by targeting Liberal Senator Zed Seselja, with policy advisor Penny Kyburz to be the lead Senate candidate.
Dr Kyburz works for federal Greens senator Jordon Steele-John and has previously worked for former senator Scott Ludlam. She opened her campaign by saying Senator Seselja had voted against the interests of the ACT by voting against the territory rights bill in federal parliament this week.
"In the Senate, Zed Seselja's 'representation' of the ACT has been a slap in the face. He stands with Tony Abbott more often than he stands with Canberrans - failing to even show up at the Senate vote on marriage equality and refusing to stand up for the territory's rights in this week's repeal of the Andrews bill," Dr Kyburz said.
