Shorten could own Australia Day

Bill Shorten has manifested a strange reluctance to get involved in Australia Day arguments. He is not keen on engaging about changing the date, or about legally enshrining it as some sort of thong-free holy day of national obligation, as some of the coalition loonies, possibly including Scott Morrison seem to suggest.
