To be frank, Horn is sick of it. Now he believes an early act of aggression proves Mundine is cracking under the bright lights against the school teacher turned legend killer.

Mundine finally provided the fireworks we've been waiting for as they squared off for the final time before they meet in the ring at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The brash 43-year-old grabbed Horn by the throat and shoved him back into the arms of trainer Glenn Rushton in a timeless display of boxing theatrics at Thursday's weigh-in.

Then came time for a tip, with Mundine quoting famed silver screen villain Clubber Lang in saying "Prediction? Pain".

Horn followed suit with the exact same line, adamant Mundine's act of aggression has given the former welterweight world champion the advantage - but the veteran says he's "ready to kill".

"I don’t know man, we were just talking shit to each other," Mundine said.

"I’m like a caged tiger, I’m ready to kill, it’s kill or be killed. In saying that, I just reacted. When I’m in a situation where there is confrontation and my back is against the wall, I’m going to fight back.

"It’s not personal, it’s just that he stands for and represents everything I fight. He wants them to play the anthem, this and that, he doesn’t even understand it himself."

Whether the national anthem will be played before the fight has made for an interesting subplot to what is being billed as the biggest all-Australian contest in boxing history.

Mundine believes Advance Australia Fair is a white supremacist song and says Horn has been given an easy ride to the top - but the former world champion has challenged 'Choc' to "walk in my shoes".

"It’s been such a hard journey to get to where I am, it hasn’t been easy, and he talks about how easy I’ve got it," Horn said.

"Please walk in my shoes and you’ll see how hard it has actually been, that is frustrating to me.

"He believes [I've had it easy], and maybe some people in his team, [but not many others would]. He’s got a loudmouth in his team that keeps on going on as well."

That same "loudmouth" piped up again when Mundine grabbed Horn and began shadow-boxing in front of he and Rushton.

"Rushton can't fight for you anymore," bellowed a voice from Mundine's corner - but Horn was the furthest thing from worried. He looks fitter than he has in a long time and made weight at 70.55kg with ease.

"He is very on edge and nervous about this fight," Horn said.

"He was talking about ‘you’re going down, you’re going to get a boxing lesson’. I said ‘I hope you’re ready mate’, and then he must have just cracked it [during the face-off].

"It shows me he is frustrated, he is angry and he is going to be coming to fight."

While Mundine made his first contact at the weigh-in - a move hardly surprising given 'The Man' is coming further out of his shell as the opening bell draws closer - striking first isn't his key to victory.

He will channel the likes of Terence Crawford - the man who took Horn's welterweight strap in June and left him with his first professional defeat - as he looks to avoid a fourth loss in six bouts.

"He is the one that is going to be aggressive early, I’m just going to be composed," Mundine said.

"I’ll be composed and be cool like the greats, like the Mayweathers, the Crawfords. I’ll know when it’s time to come forward.

"I'm going to shock the whole wide world".
