Race 2 MAIDEN HCP (1000m)

Competitive maiden sprint with many chances, have settle on the first starter for the Angela Davies stable 2.Karaoke who looks primed to go off two easy trials at Newcastle, in both trials the gelding has jumped quick to lead and never been out of first gear hard held to the line.

Dangers: Trainer Damien Lane brings first starter 6. Fearless Mila to the races off the back of two good trials with the latest trial at Newcastle over 900m settling back in the field and cruising past them without being asked to do too much. 7. Miss Eimar has the race experience and fitness on its side and should be right up on the pace when they jump.

Very open Class 2 Handicap and the market reflects that. 11. Syrah for local trainer Ross Stint got a long way back last start stepping up to the 1600m and hit the line well late, with that run at the distance under its belt and general improvement between runs should run a race at each way odds.

Dangers: 10. Field Helmet was a dominant winner last start at Bowraville leading all the way over 1370m, the step up in distance looks ideal and gets an easy lead in a race that lack early pace. The Kris Lees trained pair 1.Wild Kingdom & 5. Charlie’s Law could be the big improvers stepping up in distance.

How to play it: Syrah EACH WAY

Race 4 MAIDEN SW (1250m)

Kim Waugh trained 3. Nuclear Burst has improved at each run this preparation and gets the blinkers on for the first time this preparation which should sharpen him up to peak third up, drops slightly in distance which suits and from barrier 4 gets a nice run just behind the speed and will run a strong 1250m.

Dangers: 7. Grand Exit hit the line powerfully over 1000m first up at Wyong and will relish the step up in distance here. 5. Royal Monarch was competitive at his first career start at Scone sitting three wide the trip and was still there at the finish, has the speed to overcome the wide draw and be right on the pace.

How to play it: Nuclear Burst to WIN

Race 5 BM58 HCP (2000m)

Locally trained 7. El Casco stepped up to 1900m last start at Kempsey on a very firm track and was only collared late fighting hard to the line, will roll forward again from barrier 6 and should be able to control the tempo, if jockey Ceejay Graham can pinch some easy sectionals in the first half of the race the gelding will be hard to run down.

Dangers: 2. Diamond Deluxe has put together a nice record this preparation including two wins at 2100m & 2000m so fitness won’t be an issue for the Jason Dreamer trained mare, will get a nice run behind the leaders. 5. Sealum was only run down late by Diamond Deluxe when they met at Tuncury and gets a weight turn around on that galloper. 6. Miss Nellie is one at each way odds that could run an improved race and will be hitting the line hard late.

How to play it: El Casco to WIN AND 2 & 7 Quinella

Race 6 CLASS 3 HCP (1000m)

John Shelton trained 3. Invincible Tammy was dominant first up over 1005m at Ballina jumping straight to the front and giving nothing else a chance, last two runs she has been tested in Class 3 Highway races at Randwick finishing within 3 lengths off the winner both times, gets back in grade here and from barrier 3 will lead them and be very hard to run down over the 1000m.

Dangers: 5. Too Easy Bro has run well at its past two runs at the track and distance, will cross and sit outside the speed and be in the finish once again. 7. Miss Fisher should run a much improved race back in grade and distance. 2. Gordon’s Leap one to keep an eye on first up and will be hitting the line late, a horse to follow as the distances rise this preparation.

How to play it: Invincible Tammy to WIN

Race 7 CLASS 2 HCP (1300m)

The Kris Lees-trained 4. Exdream broke its maiden with ease last start leading all the way over 1200m at Coffs Harbour, Andrew Gibbons keeps the ride and should be able to sit right on the pace and the step up to 1300m looks ideal.

Dangers: The local 5. Eyebea Danser resumed off a 206-day spell with a very good win at Coffs Harbour over 1200m showing a brilliant turn of foot late to finish over the top of them, up in distance is ideal and from barrier 16 will be back in the field and saved for one run at them late. 3. Monaco Sniper broke its maiden with an impressive win at the track last start, gets a beautiful run just off the pace.
