Police have appealed to the public for help finding an "agitated" man who allegedly spat on a Transport Canberra bus driver more than two months ago.
In a statement, ACT Policing said the alleged assault happened about 2pm on Friday, December 14 last year.
A bus travelling on route 27 picked the man up near the Woden Town Centre, according to police.
"The man appeared agitated, and stated to the driver he was annoyed because a previous bus hadn’t arrived as scheduled," the police statement said.
"The man then got off at the next stop on Badimara Street, Waramanga.
"As he exited the bus, he spat on and verbally abused the driver.
"The man then walked around to the driver’s side of the bus before spitting on and hitting the driver’s window."
The man is described as Caucasian, between 30 and 40 years old, unshaven and with dark brown hair.
At the time of the alleged spitting incident, he was wearing blue jeans, a blue polo shirt with a white collar and white sneakers. He was carrying a plastic bottle.
