Kitchen mysteries unwrapped in garden book

At the Canberra Environment Centre Festival on March 23 I purchased organic heirloom carrots in multi hues that had been harvested that morning by growers at Canberra City Farm in Fyshwick. The cat who visits me eyed them with interest on a garden chair but carrots are best cooked for easier digestion by cats and dogs and for additional nutrition for humans.
