If Microsoft wants the fashion, lifestyle and mummy Instagrammers of Australia to literally drool over its brand new SurfaceGo tablet, it's probably chosen the perfect face for the Go's national marketing campaign.
And she's a Canberran.
Pics of Instagram influencer Janette Wojtaszak - a public servant by day and new mum to Luna, seven months - will appear on billboards, posters and catalogues as part of marketing for the SurfaceGo.
The centrepiece of the campaign is a 90-second video showcasing Wojtaszak, the creative visionary behind @thestatementlife, "doing what I do every day" - taking selfies, filming behind-the-scenes-aspects of her life and giving style tips.
It was Wojtaszak's sizeable audience (she has 25,000 Instagram followers) but mostly high engagement on her posts, including Instagram stories, that caught Microsoft's attention.
"We filmed in Bondi over two days - from QT Hotel, to riding a bike on the beachfront to the Bucket List cafe," Wojtaszak says.
"I'm just being myself, it's a couple of days in the life of Janette - a designer, stylist, blogger and mum.
"I used to do ice skating and never thought my ice skating poses would come in handy.
"In some of the scenes of the video you'll see me stretching it out on top of a cliff, with about 20 crew members, executives, people walking past - and then a drone flies over me to get the shot.
"It was hectic."
But there's a chance Wojtaszak could be upstaged in the video by little Luna, who appears in a scene where her influential mum calls her own mother via Skype.
"I'm so proud to have shared this wonderful moment with Luna - it'll be really nice to look back on when she's older."
Wojtaszak has used her influence on behalf of a number of local, national and global brands.
She's one of a handful of Canberra Instagrammers now being managed by new influencer management agency Social9, an offshoot of PR company Agency9.
The agency's lineup includes Wojtaszak (@thestatementlife), fitness guru Em Wizz Fitness (@em_wizzfit - 69,000 followers), adventurer Will Stokoe (@stokoe - 8500 followers) and social butterfly Tahlia Langdown (@tahlialangdown - 10,100 followers).
Social9 founder Claudia Vannithone says for some of her clients, a post by an influential Instagrammer can be more powerful than a television or radio commercial.
"Depending on the demographic or target market, we're finding Instagram can play a hugely important role in the marketing mix," Vannithone says.
"Our talent offers a range of skills in photography, video, styling, flat-laying and loads more. These are the people who can help you make a splash online.
"Our influencers are diverse, and can deliver on a broad scope of themes - we’re talking fashion, food, beauty, venues, events, travel and design."
