The former Canberran fittingly gave birth on Wednesday, ahead of the State of Origin series opener.
A Nine spokesperson said: “Everyone at Nine is so happy for Erin and Sean as they welcome Eliza to their family, we wish them well as they embark on the next stage of life together – no doubt she will be a NSW Blues supporter''. And a Canberra Raiders fan, if Molan has her way.
Erin's parents, NSW Liberal Senator Jim Molan, and Anne, live in Royalla, on the NSW-ACT border, and Erin got her big break into broadcasting with Win Television in Canberra.
Eliza is the first child for Erin, 35, and Sean, who have been engaged since early 2017.
Sports stars and media personalities were quick to congratulate the happy couple including Ben Fordham who tweeted: "Congrats @Erin_Molan and Sean. What wonderful news and freaky timing. #OriginBaby''.
