A 62-year-old Canberra man befriended a group of underage girls and plied them with alcohol and drugs before raping them at his home, court documents revealed on Monday.

Page man Sunil Batagoda would also tell the girls they were beautiful, show them pornographic material and offer to pay them money in exchange for sex.
Batagoda met the girls in August last year at the Civic bus interchange, when one asked for money to catch a bus.
He offered to drive them to their friend's home.
Over the next seven months the man would buy the girls alcohol, marijuana and cigarettes, and would pick them up and drive them around.
He would bring the girls, who were aged between 14 and 15, to his Page home, where they smoked marijuana and drank alcohol.
He would show them pornographic materials and ask about their ages and sexual experiences.
Most of the crimes happened at his home.
At an arraignment in the ACT Supreme Court on Monday, Batagoda pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual intercourse with a person under 16 and one count of committing an act of indecency in the presence of a person under 16. The offences were committed against four different girls.
One day in February, one of the girls arranged for Batagoda to pick her and a friend up and to buy them alcohol and cigarettes, a statement of facts tendered in court said.
He took them back to his home where the girls drank vodka and orange juice.
When one girl went to the bathroom, the man pulled her into the bedroom and raped her when he told her to perform oral sex on him.
He filmed the rape on his phone and when the girl realised she covered her face and told him to stop and delete the video.
On one occasion when one of the girls got out of his car and vomited from alcohol, he tried to kiss her, and later offered her $300 if she would perform oral sex on him. A few days later he raped her in his bedroom.
Another time, he offered a girl several hundred dollars to have sex with him, which she initially agreed to do. She later told Batagoda to stop but he continued to force himself on her.
One day in October last year, the girls fell asleep at the man's house in his bedroom after smoking marijuana. One girl woke and the man was touching her and using his other hand to touch himself.
One time he took them to a motel near Belconnen where the girls smoked marijuana and listened to music.
He had a toiletry bag full of sex toys and lubricant and left it open on a table.
One of the girls later woke to see Batagoda above her touching himself and she kicked him, making him fall over.
In February, police received a phone call from the father of one of the girls.
The father said he had seen a video on his daughter's Facebook page of a young girl performing oral sex on an older male.
He believed the man's name was "Sunil".
Police searched Batagoda's home later that month and he was arrested. He remains in custody.
He returns to court for sentencing on February 19.
