ABC Radio Canberra has pipped its closest competitor, Mix 106.3, to take out top spot overall in the capital in the latest local radio ratings.

The latest GfK radio ratings survey results show ABC Canberra's overall Monday to Friday rating jumped 3.4 percentage points to 16.9 per cent, taking the number one spot from Mix 106.3, which fell 4.3 points to 16.3 per cent.
The survey, covering April to September this year, show ABC's local ratings grew across all timeslots, with a 10.7 point bump in the Evenings with Chris Bath timeslot and a 3.5 point jump in Breakfast, with host Dan Bourchier.
Across the Monday to Friday period, the top rating stations were: ABC Radio Canberra, followed by Mix 106.3, Hit 104.7, Radio National and ABC News Radio.
In the coveted Breakfast timeslot, Mr Bourchier has maintained his ratings lead for the second survey, followed by Mix 106.3's Kristen and Wilko, Hit 104.7's Ryan and Tanya and RN's Fran Kelly.
Across the overall weekday ratings, ABC Radio Canberra led the growth on 3.4 points up, followed by 2CC up 2.4, 2CA up one point and RN up 0.2 points, with all other stations recording ratings falls.
ABC Radio Canberra acting station manager Steve McClelland said the results showed "impressive growth" across the whole station, and were a "tribute" to station's team.
"It's been a busy year on air, having welcomed several new presenters to our already strong local line up," he said.
Radio Canberra general manager Michael Jones, representing 2CA and 2CC, said the two stations had dominated the 40-plus market, with 9.2 per cent growth across both stations in that age category.
In the younger market, the ratings showed Hit 104.7 dominating, with 37.3 per cent, up six points since the last survey, followed by Triple J with a 31.5 per cent share of that age group, up 1.6 per cent.
