At 10am on Monday, the 65-year-old was charged with two counts of sexual assault/indecent assault on a person younger than 16 under his authority, after presenting himself at Goulburn Police Station.

Police will allege in 1986, the man indecently assaulted two students, aged 12 and 14 at the time.

Officers granted him conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, March 8.

He is the fourth Brother to be charged under Strike Force Charish, established in February 2014 to investigate allegations of historical sexual and indecent assault at St Patrick's College in the 1970s and 1980s.

One of these, Christopher Rafferty, was acquitted on all charges last August.

Brother William Standen, 67, is serving a nine-year, two-month jail term handed down last June after pleading guilty to 17 charges of indecent assault on boys aged 12 to 14 and one charge of an indecent act on a child.

Brother William Obbens, 70, is serving an 18-month prison term. He pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated indecent assault of three boys under his authority and was sentenced last October.

The offences occurred at the former St Patrick's College, Goulburn, from 1987 to 1989. He was a teacher and dormitory master at the time.

A fifth Brother, Peter Nicholas Lennox, 75, of Cootamundra, who also taught at St Pat's and a college in Manly, was charged separately by Sydney detectives. He has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of indecent assault on a male, one count of an indecent act on a male, two of sexual assault/indecent assault on a person under 16 under his authority and two charges of gross indecency by a male on a male under 18.

His trial is set to begin at Sydney District Court on March 6, 2017.

Detective Inspector Matt Woods said Strike Force Charish was an ongoing investigation.
