The parties are continuing to pitch sweeteners to voters as pre-polling continues, climbing to 5869 votes by Thursday evening.
Labor will use Friday to announce a major $139 million roads package, including $101 million for duplication works on William Slim, Gundaroo, and Athllon Drives.
The duplication of William Slim Drive has long been discussed, but never delivered.
The Liberals promised to duplicate William Slim Drive before the 2012 election, something Labor at the time dismissed as playing "catch-up", because they were already doing design work.
Labor has now promised it will start work on the duplicating the entire road next term, at a cost of $37 million.
The Liberals will also make the same promise to duplicate William Slim Drive on Friday, but say it would cost $39 million, and begin in 2017-18.
Labor say they will also duplicate a large stretch of Gundaroo Drive, from Gungahlin Drive to the Barton Highway, at a cost of $34 million.
Stage one of that project – a duplication between Gungahlin Drive and Mirrabei Drive/Anthony Rolfe Avenue roundabout – has already begun.
The Liberals have already committed to duplicating Gundaroo Drive.
Labor's package would also see Athllon Drive in Canberra's south duplicated between Sulwood Drive and Drakeford Drive, at a cost of $30 million.
It will spend $6 million on road resealing, and will upgrade intersections at Kuringa Drive and Owen Dixon Drive, Southern Cross Drive and Starke Street, Belconnen Way and Springvale Drive, and Launceston and Irving streets.
Design work would also be funded for the Tharwa Drive duplication between Woodcock Drive and Pockett Avenue, a Nudurr Drive extension, and a duplication of William Hovell Drive.
The Greens have previously announced $30 million to fix and rebuild existing roads.
