Read a magazine, listen to a podcast, or even take a nap. Go nuts, she says, because her mats are designed for women who need to put themselves in a self-declared "time out".

De Luca, mum to two boys and director of Canberra's MO'R Mortgage options, launched her own line of yoga mats after looking down during a yoga class and wondering why her tights got all the attention.

"I was in a yoga class one Sunday morning and noticed how energised the room was - lots of people were wearing bright and colourful tights and it made me feel happy," she recalls.

"But when I looked back down at my boring old mat, I remember thinking why do yoga tights get all the fun? And why are yoga mats always so boring?

"That afternoon, I started investigating how to make my own colourful yoga mat."

That Mat is Mine - a personalised yoga mat available in seven designs - is now owned by influencers like Lola Berry, The MerryMaker Sisters, Rachael Finch and Revie Jane, and even body positive warrior Taryn Brumfitt - of Embrace movie fame - has one.

De Luca's "beyond happy" her mats are resonating with women, but not because she's yoga obsessed. Her mats are more about "allowing women to reclaim time and space for themselves".

"Yoga is something I've done on and off for years because it's a way for me to get out of my own head," she says.

"Between work and looking after young kids, I realised about two years ago that I wasn't making any time for myself. I'd ditched all the things that made me feel happy and I was cranky a lot of the time.

"I turned to yoga in an attempt to change that and That Mat became a special space. That Mat gave me time to myself.

It's a staple on the 'to do' list while you're holidaying on the South Coast but now Canberrans don't have to travel far at all to get their fix of "Raymond's".

The Chinese restaurant at the Malua Bay Bowling Club, owned by chef Raymond Ng and famous for its sizzling fillet steak, deep fried eggplant and pork rib, has opened locally - at a bowling club of course.

The newest Raymond's Chinese is available at the Queanbeyan RSL Memorial Bowling Club on Yass Road. And it's already luring Canberrans over the border.

Manager of the Queanbeyan restaurant Lily Leung said Raymond was excited to be cooking for the people of Canberra and Queanbeyan a little closer to home.

"We want to use the Malua Bay restaurant as the model for success," she says.

"We'll renovate the kitchen [in Queanbeyan], redesign the dining room and offer table service.

"Everything people know and love about the coast restaurant will be coming here."

Raymond, a Hong Kong native, emigrated to Australia in the late 1970s and was always a talented cook. He opened his first Chinese restaurant in Batemans Bay behind Woolworths in the 1990s and moved the bowling club at Malua Bay in 2008. Easter Saturday is the restaurant's biggest night of the year, with thousands of Canberrans packing in for a fix of Chinese while on holiday.

A slightly smaller menu is being offered out of the Queanbeyan restaurant for now but renovations are expected to be complete by the end of June.

A Canberra woman tired of watching her brother's failed attempts at romance has taken it upon herself to find him a wife. Ashley-Marie Curtis, 23, has set up a Facebook page dedicated exclusively to "marketing" her 28-year-old brother Mitch to the young single women of Canberra - and so far, it's working.

The Marry Mitch 2019 page on Facebook has 80 likes and Mitch Curtis is in conversation with a couple of girls, but ''is taking things slowly'' his sister says.

"On the first of January I thought to myself, I am not going to let another year go by without Mitch meeting someone amazing," Ashley-Marie says. "I needed to get creative and really wanted him to stand out. So we launched a Facebook page."

The content on the Facebook page reflects "everything Mitch is" Ashley says: funny, handy, down-to-earth and very very Canberran. Ashley-Marie has complete control of the page and as such reviews potential girlfriends - wives? - before they make it to through to Mitch's inbox.

The list of non-negotiable criteria includes a great sense of humour, an adventurous and spontaneous spirit, being up for the "occasional lazy day" and, of course, a strong desire to get married.

Mitch says while he initially thought the page was a "stitch-up" he's totally on board with anything creative that could help him find "the one".
