Maryanne Gore of Project Lighting has been named the ACT Business Woman of the Year.
The winner of the Young Business Woman of the Year was Fiona Fonti from The Rehabilitation Specialists.
Elise Apolloni from Capital Chemist Wanniassa won the Outstanding Community Spirit award.
The best new business winner was Julie Okely, owner of Dilkara Essence of Australia .
The 2016 Canberra Women in Business Awards were announced on Thursday night at the Hyatt Hotel.
Maryanne was described as a pillar of the business community and a quiet achiever who "models longevity in business whilst being responsive to changing customer and business needs".
Fiona was recognised for bringing passion and dedication to the workplace rehabilitation industry.
Elise "exemplifies true spirit and tireless community engagement". After losing a colleague to suicide, she immediately looked to volunteer her time and energy to assist as a crisis supporter with Lifeline Canberra.
Julie had created the first range of hair care products using native Australian ingredients, with customers including Qantas Airlines.
Canberra Women in Business president Claudia Vannithone praised each finalist for their hard work, leadership and innovation.
"We need women to proudly put their hands up to be acknowledged and celebrated for their achievements and to become role models and mentors for other local women," she said.
