A man in a balaclava who held up a club in Canberra's south escaped with cash through the back door, ACT Policing has said.

The man entered the Mawson Club on Heard Street in Mawson about 4am on Monday, when he threatened two staff members with an undisclosed weapon.
The staff members complied with the man's demands for cash before he ran away through the back of the building and into the car park, carrying a red cooler bag.
Police have released a CCTV image that shows the man, clothed entirely in black except for a pair of white gloves, examining the contents of the bag.
The man is described as of a solid build, about 186cm (6'1") tall with an Australian accent.
