Joe's Bar
Cosy and intimate, Joe's Bar offers a wine and cocktail list that has been carefully collected and features an Italian influence in a nod to the owning family's heritage, but make sure you don't leave without tucking in to the mozzarella arancini balls; it's the real thing.

The Knox made in Watson
Brick walls, blackboards, chalk and industrial metal all contribute to the rustic and trendy vibe at The Knox Made in Watson. The cafe breathes new life in to the area and sources its coffee beans from Red Brick Espresso. An all-day breakfast menu is also available, our pick of the mix is the delicious and tangy Mexican eggs!

The Meating Room
The Meating Room's interior is decidedly trendy with exposed pipes, green foliage, and milk crates lining the bar. But with a menu that considers the vegetarian, yet is dedicated to the carnivore, meat is what sets this restaurant apart. The braised beef short ribs are a crowd-pleaser, but make sure to also give the beef and blue cheese burger a go.

Salotto Bar & Kitchen
Brought to you by the foodies behind Canberra favourite Santa Lucia, this Italian restaurant is sure to set your taste buds alight. A warm and welcoming interior greets you upon arrival, and a distinctly modern decor is off set by themes of yore, with each of the tables adorned with traditional candles. If you're a fan of seafood, be sure to sink your teeth into the Frutti Di Mare.

Muse
Part bookstore, part wine bar, and part cafe and restaurant, Muse is a welcome addition to the ACT dining landscape. The owners have expressed that conversation is key, and book-lovers in particular should rejoice in this with the Muse crew setting up a multitude of events based around discussion and the appearance of authors.

The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room and its casual yet sophisticated dining set-up is injecting fresh life into the northern sector of the city. The food is wonderful and service turn-around is rapid but what they got really right was the decor. The spacious wood-and-cork dining area is dominated by a gorgeous wine rack and an attention to detail regarding the exterior of the cafe is not ignored, with lush outdoor planters and a trendy courtyard to boot.

54 Benjamin
From Tuesday to Saturday, the doors of 54 Benjamin Way swing open at 4pm, silently answering the prayer of public servants. An ever-changing menu of cocktails reflects the fact that the brains behind this modern cocktail bar are always looking for ways to innovate and improve upon their mixology. 54 Benjamin is conveniently located and warmly organised and is the perfect place for post-work drinks. We recommend trying the Rolling Stone inspired Oh-Cherry, Oh-Baby; an eclectic mix of cherry puree, cola, grenadine and a maraschino-infused spiced rum.
