While she may have cried too much in Les Miserables before giving the most eye-roll worthy Oscar speech since Gwyneth Paltrow's teary performance, Hathaway has thrown caution (and her pants) to the wind while lip syncing to Cyrus' oft-parodied song, Wrecking Ball.
The clip, a preview of her upcoming appearance alongside Emily Blunt on new United States TV show, Lip Sync Battle, was released online overnight and chalked up close to a million views in 24-hours on YouTube.
Hathaway, dressed in Cyrus' trademark white singlet and, albeit fuller briefs, leaps onto an actual wrecking ball before flipping a well-manicured bird to her The Devil Wears Prada co-star, Blunt.
Lip Sync Battle is the brain child of comedian and host of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon. The premise of the show is to pit two celebrities against each other as they mime popular songs.
Previous guests include Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson performing Taylor Swift's Shake It Off, The Office writer Stephen Merchant seductively covering Christina Aguilera's hit Dirrty and Fallon himself syncing to Madonna's Like A Prayer, complete with a gospel choir.
