Summer has drawn Canberra photographers from all walks of life outside and behind the camera, many with their children in tow.
Young Canberrans enjoying the warmer stretches of this year's varied weather have featured heavily in The Canberra Times summer photo competition.
Keen snappers have just one day left to enter as the season draws to a close.
Fadden photographer Belinda Garfath has been one of many parents making the most of this summer's brighter days - and her patient one-year-old daughter, Ava Willow Hogg.
Ava was captured splashing in a bath in the backyard during her first summer.
"I just though to myself one day, 'wouldn't it be cute to stick her in the bath outside', so I took her in the backyard and had the camera with me and we sat in the sun," Ms Garfath said.
"She was splashing and the suds have gone all over her face. She absolutely loves the water."
Ms Garfath, who regularly takes family and newborn photographs, she said loved to capture colour.
"I'm known by friends and other people as a colour photographer so, summer is my time," she said.
"Canberra all year round has special bits. Our seasons are beautiful."
And Ava has been a regular subject.
"She's just such a relaxed and casual baby; the shots reflect her perfectly," Ms Garfath said.
Marta Yebra has also taken advantage of holiday family time to add to the photo album.
She was visiting the National Gallery of Australia's Skyscrape art installation when she captured the silhouette of her son trying to hold the world in his hands.
Meanwhile, Tracey Meusberger captured an image of a young "loveable larrikin" George, who she met enjoying Australia Day with his family at the Dalton pub, clad in hat, boots and checkered shirt.
