The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) shows Syeda Tazeena Tausif has had her registration suspended.
AHPRA's website says a national board has the power to suspend a practitioner's registration pending other assessment or action if it believes there is "serious risk" to the health and safety of the public from the practitioner's continued practice and it is necessary to protect the public from that risk.
A health panel can suspend a practitioner's registration if it finds the practitioner had an impairment and it is necessary to suspend the practitioner's registration to protect the public, the website said.

The reason for Dr Tausif's suspension is not known.
The doctor's registration was also listed as expiring on September 30, although the website said practitioners remain registered for one month after their registration expiry date. A practitioner needs to conclude the suspension before they can return to practise.
AHPRA's website said Dr Tausif's qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Chittagong University, which is in Bangladesh as well as a certificate from the Australian Medical Council.
It lists her as speaking Bengali, Hindi, Urdu as well as English and gives Dr Tausif's principal place of practice as Belconnen.
Ginninderra Medical and Dental Centre confirmed Dr Tausif used to work there, but had left the practice. They were unable to say when she left.
Dr Tausif could not be contacted for comment.
AHPRA's website also indicates a national board can impose conditions on a practitioner's registration and restrict their practice in some way to protect the public.
The website indicates Dr Tausif had also been subject to conditions not to prescribe any schedule 4 and schedule 8 medications, including controlled medicines.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration's website lists schedule 4 as prescription-only medicine or prescription animal remedy while schedule 8 relates to controlled drugs.
A case between the Medical Board of Australia and Dr Tausif has been listed in the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal next month.
