With his long blond hair, muscles and hammer-wielding ability, it's difficult to believe former Tuggeranong boy Andrew Lutomski could have been anything other than a Thor impersonator.

But the 32-year-old from Chisholm says he used to be "quite a heavy'' bloke, tipping the scales at 120 kilos, before embarking on a health and fitness odyssey that not only transformed his body but got him a gig with Marvel, taking on the persona of the Norse god.
Now living in Melbourne, Andrew returned to his old stomping ground last weekend, just in time for the release of Avengers: Endgame, to help promote the sale of his two-bedroom apartment in Queanbeyan, which is being marketed by Hayman Partners.
Canny real estate agent Rowan Glanville made good use of Andrew's alter ego, ensuring he was in full Thor regalia for some publicity shots for the apartment, and even throwing in a quick visit to the Royal Hotel, to enjoy a beer with the locals.
Now a health and fitness coach with more than 30,000 followers on Instagram, Andrew worked for 10 years in Customs in Canberra before moving to Melbourne in 2013 to chase his childhood dream to be a professional wrestler.
It was almost as if the public directed him to become Thor, as soon as he let his hair grow.
"I couldn't go down the street without someone yelling at me, 'Oi, Thor!'," he said, with a laugh.
The funny thing was, he had "very little idea" who Thor was, not having been a comic book kid.
"I had to research who Thor was," he said.
And he liked what he found.
"I really related. He was a cool, tough, big guy. He kind of changed his ways to become a better guy," he said.
Andrew ended up making his own Thor costume and hammer and attended a comic convention in Melbourne where Marvel was represented.
"I rocked up there and they called me over and said, 'Geez, you look great'," Andrew said.
The Marvel guys asked him to hang at their stand, "lift the hammer" a bit for the fans, and ended up spending the day with them. By the end of the convention, he'd scored a job with Marvel as an official Thor impersonator, attending official events as needed and doing other promotions. With a custom-made suit.
He recently did a gig with Bunnings, which knows a thing or two about hammers.
The fans love it.
"I enjoy it as well," he said.
"It's acting. I put on the suit, put on the voice and put a bit of 'eyebrows' on and just become this different character."
And he has met the real Thor, Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth, a couple of times and was told he was an "awesome" impersonator.
"I was probably more excited to meet his personal trainer Luke Zocchi," he said.
Andrew also played tennis with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic - dressed as Thor - at the 2018 Australian Open.
"Roger served and I hit it into the crowd," he laughed.
