"I think I'm going to have to say that straight after Saturday's set we're jumping on the light rail and testing it out," one half of the electronic music duo Adam Hyde said.
But as good as the light rail is, it's Peking Duk's Biggest Hometown Party Ever on Saturday night that's really bringing the Canberra act home.
Rounding up the duo's Biggest Tour Ever, the Canberra show is set to one-up Peking Duk's 15 previous dates.
While the other stops still had unforgettable Peking Duk shows - complete with an interpretive dance routine to an Enya song - the duo has called on friends and fellow Canberra band Safia to ensure hometown fans have a night for the ages.
With the help of the tour's support acts Kwame, Kira Puru and Clypso, the two Canberra acts will feature in a mini festival at the University of Canberra.
"It's a celebration of Canberra," Hyde said.
"We're from Canberra, Canberra will always be our home. It's where our heart lies and we can't wait to celebrate a beautiful night with Canberrans and good friends of ours who are also from Canberra, and just enjoying music and have a good time."
And what a way to celebrate the capital; with two of Canberra's biggest music exports.
Despite emerging onto the scene around the same time, the two acts didn't actually meet until they collaborated on Peking Duk's Take Me Over.
What began as a way to salvage a beat Hyde and Peking Duk's other half Reuben Styles had been working on for a remix, turned into the beginning of an original song and a brotherhood.
"Reuben sent the track over to Ben Woolner from Safia and he sent something back over a rough idea very quickly," Hyde said.
"We knew we needed to get into the studio immediately and work this out. It's been like a family situation ever since that day.
"I mean Safia, they are incredibly talented, incredibly down to earth and lovely people in every way and it's always great when you see people who create beautiful art, also be beautiful humans. Nothing but love to Safia."
The song charted in the top 10 and ranked at number five in the 2014 Triple J Hottest 100. And it's not the only success the duo have had with High and Stranger both peaking at number five on the charts and the latter taking out Song of the Year at the 2017 ARIA awards.
But their success has not been limited to the music world, with Peking Duk opening a South Yarra bar in November and even releasing children's book DJ Duks in December. To top it all off, the pair's track Stranger was used in the iconic soap opera Bold and the Beautiful: "That's incredible. We've made it. We did it."
There's no doubt the past few years have been big for the duo, but Hyde said he and Styles were not feeling the pressure to make sure 2019 was equally successful.
"I think it's all different. Last year we spent a lot of time doing extracurricular activities. I think now we need to bring it all back to the music," he said.
"We're going to be going to Los Angeles for six months. As soon as the tour has finished we're jumping on a plane there and start working away at this album, once and for all."
