Mr Moarefi appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday and pleaded not guilty. He did not apply for bail.
Last week, Christopher Cunningham, 32, was charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into a building relating to the March 2 incident.
The alleged shooting took place in Freda Gibson Circuit, Theodore, where police reported finding bullet casings and two homes struck by stray bullets.
A man was treated for a gunshot wound and police reported he was recovering well. Police conducted a number of searches in Fyshwick and Theodore which led to the arrest of Mr Cunningham. A .3030 calibre lever-action rifle was seized by police.
Mr Moarefi was remanded in custody and will return to court in July.
