Remembering Ralph
To mark the 25th anniversary of the death of prolific Canberra theatre director Ralph Wilson, a group of Canberra theatre practitioners are mounting a celebration of his life in "The Ralph", the theatre in Gorman Arts Centre which was named after him. On Tuesday, May 28 from 12.30pm to 5pm, events will include reminiscences and play excerpts including parts of his favourite play, Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children. Record attendance
The 25th Canberra International Music Festival, themed re/discover Bach, was the most successful in its history, with record attendance and 8000 tickets sold, representing a 12 per cent increase in attendance compared to the previous year. About 40 per cent of the resources for the festival came from individual donors, the business community, venue partners, embassies and more than 120 volunteers. ANU School of Music Associate Professor Kim Cunio said he looked forward to building "a deep and profound relationship" with the festival in coming years.

Art on Screen: Gauguin in Tahiti
Noon: In 1891 artist Paul Gaughin left Marseille for the Pacific, spending time in Tahiti and Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia, where he built houses with bamboo and leaves, and discovered light and colours which changed his painting forever.
