Mr Barr told radio on Friday he was confident Katy Gallagher would also return to the Senate.
He said the territory's incumbent senator, Liberal Zed Seselja, would, on the balance of probabilities, also retain his seat.
But Mr Barr said he believed the senator would "get a run for his money" as he did not think he was representative of the views of most Canberrans.
Mr Barr said federal Labor, which currently holds 69 seats in the house, could also win between 77 and 84 seats, to form what would be a majority government.
But Liberal leader Alistair Coe rejected Mr Barr's prediction, saying "Canberrans would be familiar with his arrogance", and the Canberra Liberals would not be taking any vote for granted.
