Like anyone, Canberra Raiders halfback Sam Williams will always remember Cooper Cronk's finest moments.
Of those there is no shortage. Think that State of Origin field goal. That premiership with a busted wing. Those grand final wins and Dally M medals.
In fact, Williams has always relished the chance to sit back and watch one of rugby league's modern day greats go to work.
But now as his Sydney Roosters counterpart takes one last roll of the dice, Williams hopes his side will stand in the way.
"I have always loved watching Cooper play, the way he has always controlled his team, his talk, his professionalism, he very rarely puts a foot wrong," Williams said.
"It's sad to see someone like that retire but I know he'll be pretty keen to go out with a win. Hopefully we can spoil that at the end of the year."
