Bipartisanship is not good politics

Australia needs more politics, not less. It needs politicians who are better able to divide and conquer, rather than bipartisanship. And it needs voters' expectations of politicians to rise with the size of the challenges we face, rather than descend into cynical nihilism. Wishing politics away is the same thing as leaving all the big decisions to the market.
