Even if Abbott scraps the RET, ACT will stick to its 90 per cent target

The Abbott government has yet to respond to businessman Dick Warburton's review of Australia's renewable energy target. But many believe the writing is already on the wall for the RET, and that the only question still to be decided by cabinet is whether the target of 41,000 gigawatt hours of energy by 2020 is wound back (as Mr Warburton has recommended) or scrapped altogether.
