Queanbeyan landmark Benedict House passed in at auction

Queanbeyan's Benedict House failed to sell at auction on Thursday. There were seven registered bidders for the former convent and five placed bids on the property. Bidding opened at $750,000 before the final offer was made at $1.3 million. This amount was below the reserve and the property passed in. Negotiations were continuing through the selling agents.
