She’s been down the red carpet more than a few times in glamorous frocks but even television’s golden girl Lisa McCune couldn’t resist a browse through the racks of vintage clothes in a groovy Canberra outlet.

The 42-year-old four-time Gold Logie winner was captured checking out some vintage finds at April’s Caravan in Smith’s Alternative Bookshop in the heart of the city.
McCune was in Canberra last week but the bookshop happily posted the photo of McCune on its Facebook page on Wednesday with the cheeky line ‘‘It’s where the stars shop now, don’t you know?’’
She apparently bought a book on cross-stitching.
McCune was in Canberra with her Opera Australia co-star and rumoured paramour Teddy Tahu Rhodes to promote the return season of the musical South Pacific at the Sydney Opera House from September 8 to November 2.
The pair have been starring in the classic musical, helping create a critical and box office smash, but also generating headlines for their off-stage shows of affection.
While in Canberra, McCune also found time to perform in a show at the Southern Cross Club called Love....and all that follows, a ‘‘musical celebration of love with all its highs and lows’’.
McCune is probably best known as television royalty, winning hearts with performances including her long-running stint on Blue Heelers as Constable Maggie Doyle for which she won four Gold Logies and five Most Popular Actress Logies.
She has most recently appeared in the Network Ten drama Reef Doctors which has, so far, failed to win the same loyal following.
