The 1280 metres benchmark 70 will be the first time Ons Vier has raced on the synthetic track this year. But if last year is anything to go by Ible says she'll use it to her advantage.
"We're quite confident after her win in Queanbeyan, she's back in her best form and I believe she's going to be very hard to beat," Ible said.
"She had two runs on synthetic last winter and won both including the Federal, she really appreciates the surface and favours it which shows in her runs.
"The races really suit her, she's progressed really nicely through her grades and the Federal has helped that."
Her Canberra and Queanbeyan owners will be forced to take her to Sydney soon following her recent success. Ons Viers will be chasing her third Federal win.
"Since joining us she's won four and two Federals and picked up a lot of prize money, which is great," Ible said.
"We'll definitely be forced to take her to Sydney with her rating going up.
"But she's very capable of winning something there mid-week."
Meanwhile, Segenhoe Stud owner Kevin Maloney is hoping Pretty In Pink can fulfil his ambition for trainer John O'Shea in Saturday's Stradbroke at Eagle Farm.
"When he left Godolphin I wanted to give him a group 1 horse, and she was the one we picked out," Maloney said. "He is a good trainer and person and you need to have the right horses to get back to the top.
"To see her win the group 2 last week was so satisfying and hopefully she can do what I told him she would and win a group 1 on Saturday. She was always a good filly but we didn't sell her at sales because she had immature knees."
Scorse's sauce
Former leading jockey John Scorse provides all the tips you need for Canberra's federal on Friday.
Best bet: Race 6, No. 4 Perfect Rhyme
Very average win record but has contested much tougher grade than this, peaks third up, this is her day.
Best roughie: Race 8, No. 5 Denman Diva
Quirky mare but will be suited by this surface, will be back and deep and strong late.
Race one
Tips: 2 Gypsy Miss, 1 Dream Builder, 3 High Street, 4 Cryfowl
Gypsy Miss is attempting this distance for the first time but is in sensational form and well in with the claim. Dream Builder is well placed in this grade and the last couple have been very good, main danger.
Race two
Tips: 1 Jar of Hearts, 4 Boom Queen, 5 Admire Gratzi, 3 Alpine King
Jar of Hearts is a consistent mare with a good fresh record and beautifully placed from the draw and claim. Boom Queen showed a solid effort last time here on the soft, should be at peak now.
Race three
Tips: 1 We Could Be Heroes, 4 Tejori, 5 Farthing Wood, 6 Rosecraft
We Could Be Heroes is in strong form in good grade last preparation. Races well fresh and could run them into the ground here. Tejori justified the wraps with a dominant maidan win, can repeat the dose.
Race four
Tips: 7 Silent Halo, 8 Stars Galawe, 2 Search And Destroy, 1 Lucid Dreamer
Silent Hero, forgive last start when up in distance, previous two runs would see him win this. Stars Galawe, forgive last start, previous form very strong and gets a big chance here.
Race five
Tips: 11 Withorn, 6 Jersey Rose, 7 Miss Charlie, 10 Stazzana
Withorn, forgive last start, earlier form solid, looks a chance in a tough race. Jersey Rose not disgraced first up and looms as a chance here.
Race six
Tips: 4 Perfect Rhyme, 2 The Senator, 1 Future Time, 5 Stardux
Perfect Rhyme, massive drop in grade here, third up and she looks too good for these. The Senator broke through for a well deserved win last time, up in distance will suit.
Race seven
Tips: 5 Ons Vier, 6 Rock 'n' Roller, 11 Prince Jacko, 3 Quantum Time
Ons Vier has a very strong win last time and should peak third up, she's unbeaten on this track. Rick 'n' Roller, very smart type coming here second up, he has great claims.
Race eight
Tips: 4 Our Finvarra, 6 Star of the Clan, 5 Denman Diva, 3 Bombdiggity
Our Finvarra had a good performance last time on the turf, likes this track and suited off a hot speed. Star of the Clan should be at peak after three runs this preparation, good record this T/D.
