But how does Sio want to celebrate his century milestone in the clash against the Queensland Reds on Saturday night? He doesn't.

"It's pretty special to reach that milestone and I'm honoured. But one thing I want to be remembered for is being in the teams that are successful. That's what I'm striving for," Sio said.

The Brumbies will play their final game of the regular season when they host the Reds this weekend. They have already secured a finals berth and will host a week-one play-off on either June 21 or 22.

That's why Sio hasn't spent too much time thinking about his eight-year journey from unknown rookie to Wallabies star.

The 27-year-old, who has signed a three-year contract extension, is only focused on beating the Reds and then charging to the Brumbies' first championship since 2004.

"We were saying it was the big dog week, that it was Scotty Sio's week, but he brushed it straight away," Allan Alaalatoa said.

"He's shifted everything to preparing every day and that shows the man he is. He's a humble man and doesn't like the attention. He knows this weekend is crucial and that's where the concentration should be.

"I think deep down because of Scotty and the man he is around the group, everyone is going to want to dig deep for him. When we're hurting on the field, we'll see him and know that we want to make him proud. It's his special day."

Sio is expected to return to the Brumbies' starting side this week as part of a two-week rotation with Wallabies teammate James Slipper in the loosehead role.

The Brumbies will be aiming for six wins in a row when they play the Reds this weekend. If they win, it will be just the second time in the club's history they've won six consecutive games.

It's a significant milestone given they Brumbies failed to win six in a row in either of their championship years in 2001 or 2004.

They are also aiming for a seventh consecutive win at Canberra Stadium and beating the Reds will give them momentum for their finals campaign.

"It's not about changing anything now, it's about being consistent with what we do and taking it up to the next level," Sio said.

"This year echoes a lot of that 2013 squad [which made the grand final], it's a really cool vibe. It's the belief that we can win and chance our arm at any time in the game, even if we're on the back foot.

"Belief is a strong tool to use, coming into finals time. Our leaders and coaches have been great in keeping [the players] up.

"The first thing they said was to believe in ourselves. If everyone is believing in themselves wholeheartedly, the collective will be stronger."

The Reds have won three of the past four games against the Brumbies, including an early-season upset in Brisbane this year.

But they haven't lost the past five in a row against the Brumbies in Canberra.

"We said at the back end of the year that every game is a must win for us. That's the approach we're taking," Sio said.

"It's a big game this week, they've got nothing to lose and they'll chance their arm to give their departing guys a good send off.

"It's a cool challenge to be able to front up at home and hopefully we see some exciting rugby.

"It's always difficult to prepare for a team like that, but I have a lot of faith in our team to be able to adjust. If we play the game on our terms, hopefully that gives us the best chance possible."

Alaalatoa added: "I'm definitely confident in the group. Keeping that momentum is crucial for us, if we just rock up on Saturday and just hope to put on a good performance it's not good enough heading into the finals.

"We have to give the Reds respect because they deserve it, they beat us the last time we played them and bashed us up front, so as a forward pack it's going to be huge."
