The Canberra Raiders have invited Morrison to watch them play his beloved Cronulla Sharks at Canberra Stadium on Thursday night.
It's believed the game will be just a few hours after the Raiders announce an extension of Huawei as their major sponsor in the company's eighth season in the role.
A new Civic Stadium is back on the agenda after the Raiders and ACT Brumbies both played at the redeveloped Parramatta Stadium on the weekend, with the Viking clap firing up in the dying minutes of the Green Machine's win over the Wests Tigers.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr said a new Civic Stadium was still in his plans, but Morrison's federal government would need to forgive their $1 billion Mr Fluffy loan for Barr to fast-track it.
Raiders chief executive Don Furner said a new stadium would be a financial boost for both the Raiders and the Brumbies, but he said it would also benefit businesses and add a "vibrancy" to Canberra's centre.
Having seen the Viking clap in a half-empty Parramatta Stadium, Furner dreamed of experiencing it in his hometown.
"It would be really, really special. When we played Souths here I was briefly chatting to Wayne Bennett on the way out and he said to me - and he's been to a million games and a million stadiums - and he said, 'Oh wow, that atmosphere was fantastic out there with the Viking clap'," he said.
"Could you imagine that with a roof? Or a very enclosed roof like the Parramatta Stadium had? It would be something to behold."

While Furner said stadium talk wouldn't be on the agenda if Morrison attended, preferring to let him enjoy the game, the Prime Minister would get to see why Canberra needed a new venue.
The design of Parramatta brings all fans extremely close to the action - in stark contrast to its 50-year-old Canberra counterpart.
Furner was blown away by the facilities in western Sydney - everything from the view from the stands to the corporate and team facilities.
He was hopeful that with Morrison now a resident of The Lodge, the Green Machine would become the Prime Minister's second team.
"I'm not sure if he's been to [Canberra] Stadium, but he might want to come down to the sheds," Furner said.
"I'm sure if he sees those and compares them to some of the others sheds, like at ANZ or the new Parramatta Stadium he'll see for himself.
"But it's not about that for the Prime Minister. He'd just want to come and watch a good game and support his team ... if he comes."
