Long queues stretched down Newcastle and Ipswich streets, with all available spots on Dairy Road quickly snapped up.
Organisers had encouraged attendees to avoid bringing a car and instead park in Kingston and walk across through the wetlands, or use a free return bus service operating between the venue, Kingston and New Acton.
This came after visitors to the festival were stuck in traffic for more than an hour as they attempted to get in and out of The Forage when it was first held on Dairy Road in April.
One person told the The Canberra Times that day that they had called police to request help getting out of the traffic jam. Several others posted complaints on the festival's Facebook page, with one woman pleading, "PLEASE LET US OUT".
