The University will host the final round of the competition in late October, giving Canberra rugby fans the chance to watch some of the country's best women's sevens players.
The series is aimed at providing a national pathway for elite female sevens talent, with Australian representatives Page McGregor and Lauren Brown having both played in previous editions of the competition.
Rugby Australia high performance manager Scott Bowen says the availability of current Australian sevens players will only increase the standard of the series.
"We're looking forward to this season being the best yet for the University Sevens Series," Bowen said.
"Aussie sevens players will play again in rounds across the series and this will only serve to lift the already high standard of the competition."
The tournament kicks-off in mid-September at the University of Queensland, before arriving in the nation's capital on October 26.
