Someone who bought a ticket in Canberra for Monday's Lotto draw is a newly minted millionaire - but they don't know it yet - while a Belconnen woman won $200,000 on Tuesday.
The ticket, which was the only winning ticket in the first division of the Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw, won the guaranteed prize of $1 million.
The entry is not registered, leaving officials from NSW Lotteries with no way of contacting the winner, who bought the ticket at Butts N Brew in Casey.
Butts N Brew owner Dimitri Karagiannidis told NSW Lotteries he hoped the customer would find out about their win soon.
"When I first saw the notification that we'd sold a division one winning ticket I didn't believe it. But it's real and I'm absolutely over the moon," he said.
"We opened just over three years ago and this is our first division one! We hope it's the first of many. We're celebrating in store with a bottle of champagne and hopefully the luck will strike again soon."
"Our customers have been very excited to hear we've had a winner. We can't wait for the winner to find out they're a millionaire. A big congratulations to them. I hope this money makes life a lot easier for them and they treat themselves to a holiday somewhere warm," Mr Karagiannidis said.
The Monday and Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto draws created 194 millionaires across Australia in 2018
The winning numbers for Monday's draw were 9, 36, 40, 22, 23 and 32, with supplementary numbers 33 and 37.
The Belconnen woman who won the first prize in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw on Tuesday would take herself out for a fancy dinner to celebrate.
The woman, who bought her ticket at the Nextra newsagent at Belconnen Mall and wished to remain anonymous, told the Lott that she wouldn't be worrying as much about money in her retirement.
"It has come at a great time," she said.
