A 21-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were arrested early on Thursday morning by NSW police and taken to Queanbeyan police station in relation to the death of a 56-year-old man in February.
A specialist unit, Strike Force Kokal, was launched by Monaro police officers looking into the man's death.
The 56-year-old was found unconscious at his home in Bungendore on February 23 by paramedics.
It was purported at the time the man had fallen.
He was taken to Canberra Hospital and admitted to intensive care but died two days later, after being taken off life support.
A post mortem revealed the man suffered significant impact injuries to the head, and inquiries into the death were launched by ACT police before being transferred to their NSW counterparts.
The 21-year-old man and 48-year-old were known to the man who died.
A NSW police spokesman said the pair were assisting police in their investigation into the death.
