The incident, which occurred at about 9.15am, was responded to by ACT Fire and Rescue and policing. Ambulance services did not have to respond, as neither the residents, nor the driver, were injured.
"The ACT Ambulance Service wasn't required because there weren't any injuries; everyone was fine," an Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman described the damage to the property as "all internal", and said "if they were to shut the garage door, you wouldn't see any of it".
She would not confirm whether the incident occurred in the garage itself.
Fire and rescue had left the seen by 10.30am on Saturday. ACT Policing had not arrested or charged anyone over the incident, and it was unclear if it was accidental.
They are still investigating.
The residents would be able to re-enter their home on Saturday afternoon.
