Tigers FC will be sweating after Olympic defeated Tuggeranong United 3-1 at O'Connor Enclosed on Sunday, with only five points separating the top-two clubs.
Olympic coach Frank Cachia backs his side's ability to leapfrog Cooma with a game in hand.
"We're going head-to-head for the rest of the season to finish on top," Cachia said.
"This win goes a long way in making the top-four and hopefully winning the league.
"We play Tigers in the last round and it might come down to that match, but ultimately, if we win our games then we win the league because it's that simple.
"The difference between winning and losing the premiership is going to come down to who makes the most key moments."

And those 'key moments' proved vital in their win over Tuggeranong.
Olympic set the pace from the opening whistle as Jay Kelly struck the ball and hit the crossbar within the first minute.
Canberra rode on the momentum and took another chance as Nathen Megic a kicked fantastic ball to Nikolas Popovich for it to hit the side of the net. But Stephen Domenici struck it away with a slick finish just two minutes later.
Olympic missed an opportunity to extend their lead after Tuggeranong's Daniel Lindstead fouled Andre Jancevski in the box. The home-side were awarded a penalty but Domenici sent the ball wide.
But Olympic righted the wrong and doubled their lead in the 27th minute as Popovich completed a set-piece off a Kofi Danning free-kick.
Tuggeranong were brought back into the game after Olympic defender Rory Larkin fouled Edward Coggan in the goal area.
Centre-back Regan Walsh scored the penalty with ease, but missed a second opportunity minutes later.
Star striker Aisosa Ihegie was brought down in the box by Nicholas Faust, but luckily for Olympic, the penalty hit the post.
"It's not ideal [to have three penalties] and it's something you don't see normally," Cachia said.
"It was frustrating but I had a lot of faith in our players to come out and win the second half. You have to back your players week-in and week-out."
A see-sawing second-half saw the scores locked 2-1 going into stoppage time.
But Canberra Olympic persevered and dominated their territory late in the match. The home-side sealed the three points in the 91st minute after Domenici carried the ball in front of the goal, flicked it behind him for Jancevski to score.
"It was big for us because a two-goal lead made the match a bit more comfortable and put it to bed," Cachia said.
