Jarrod Croker might be too humble to admit it as he prepares to pull on a jersey bearing the name of the greatest Canberra Raider of all time.

But his own path is leading the affable Canberra captain straight to the Raiders Hall of Fame.
To call a clash with the Wests Tigers at Canberra Stadium on Saturday just another step on that journey would be a disservice to both the opposition and what the Raiders could achieve this year.
For Croker would likely trade all the point-scoring accolades for the premiership trophy which has eluded Canberra for 25 years.
Regardless, his co-captain Josh Hodgson believes there is no doubt - Croker will "definitely" follow Mal Meninga, the man whose name will be stitched onto his chest this week, into the club's Hall of Fame.
In doing so Croker would join a select few of the 89 past players set to gather at the game this week - a fitting number as Canberra celebrates the 30th anniversary of its 1989 premiership triumph.
The names of the men that played in one of rugby league's greatest games will be embroidered on the chests of their successors to mark the occasion.
Think Meninga, Ricky Stuart, Laurie Daley, Gary Belcher, Glenn Lazarus, Bradley Clyde. Premiership winners and Raiders Hall of Famers.
Croker will eventually join them in the Hall having surged to the top of the club's all-time try-scoring and point-scoring lists. And each week he is edging closer to his dream of lifting the premiership trophy.
"It's quite special. I know for me, I'll have Mal Meninga's name on my jersey so it's a massive honour and something I am proud of," Croker said of the 1989 tribute.
"Seeing those blokes down there, and how proud they are to see their name on that jersey, it just shows how much the club still means to them and it gives you that little bit extra.
"[Mal and I] caught up a fair bit over that 2017-18 period. I was learning a bit about myself as a leader and as a captain. We caught up quite a bit over coffee and I was just learning what I can off the greatest ever Raider.
MORE RAIDERS NEWS
"I've had a fair bit to do with him over the years. He's a good friend and probably the greatest Raider, so there's not too many better blokes you could pick to have a coffee with."
Slowly but surely, Croker is solidifying his legacy as another one of Canberra's best.
Of the 356 players to have pulled on the lime green jersey, none have scored more points or tries than Croker. Only one has played more games - Jason Croker has 318 to his namesake's 246.
Raiders halfback Aidan Sezer jokes he is sick of Croker breaking records because he "seems to be ticking them over every week".
Sezer looks at Croker and sees "a champion of a bloke and a champion of a player". Siliva Havili finds a "legend" everyone loves to play alongside.
"He's had a fantastic career so far, and I know it would put the cherry on the cake if we can eventually win a competition here someday," Hodgson said.
Just like the heroes of yesteryear - the same players today's crop do quizzes on as coach Stuart reconnects with history.
"They're who you're representing, the people who have been here and who have done it," Hodgson said.
"It's nice to see the old faces come back and talk to us about how much it means to them to play for the Canberra Raiders and how much they loved it here, to win the competition here and what it felt like.
"It's a fantastic thing to have as a club because you see the excitement in their faces when they talk about it.
"It makes you want to go get it for yourself. We all want that, as every player does. When you hear the stories and see their faces and how close they are still to this day, 30 years down the line, it's nice to see.
"We love hearing the old stories, but as we say when we're meeting them, it would be nice to make some of our own."
There would be perhaps none more deserving than Croker.
