The hole-in-the wall operation has the capacity to turn out 80 burgers in four minutes, chef Caleb Chubb says.
"Our aim is to do quality burgers and do it quickly," he says.
"Everything is made on site, it's all fresh, the only thing that comes in frozen are the chips."
Don't come to Flash expecting a monster burger; the key is a burger you can eat with one hand, and one that suits every hour of the day.
"We're going for that all-day, anytime burger," Chubb says. "It's not heavy, it's not going to put you to sleep afterwards."
There are six different burgers, from a simple cheeseburger to the Flash Stack, which is effectively the burger with the lot. There are also vegetarian and vegan options.
Flash Eats has revitalised the corner with its graffiti style front, bright reds and yellows breathing life into an old loading dock in Bible Lane, just near Akiba. It's the latest venture of the team behind Hopscotch and Young and Frisky.
Single stack burgers start at $10 and double stacks at $12.
Normal opening hours will be from 11am to 11pm, Sunday to Wednesday and 11am to 2am Thursday to Saturday.
But wait, there's more
If you're looking for a way to get rid of all those 5c pieces you have sitting around, head to The Bavarian, in Woden's Bradley Street Dining Precinct, on Monday, July 29 for National Chicken Wing Day.
The Bavarian is offering 10c wings all day, with a maximum of 20 buffalo chicken wings on offer with the purchase of a full-priced drink.
Brave diners are also invited to take part in a ghost-pepper wing challenge at 6.30pm, for the chance to win a $100 restaurant voucher. Ghost pepper wings are smothered in a special house-made sauce comprising of three different kinds of pepper: cayenne, habanero and the hottest of them all, ghost pepper. The contestant to eat the most ghost pepper wings in one minute will be crowned champion. Bookings essential.
