Police are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out at a police facility in Mitchell on Monday morning.
The fire started about 4.40am in a car at ACT police's exhibit management centre on Vicars Street.
Emergency crews arrived to find the car well alight inside the centre's secure gate.
Two other vehicles were damaged by the fire, which fire and rescue crews extinguished a short time later. Nothing else was damaged in the fire.
Police are reviewing security footage of the incident.
The Mitchell facility is used by ACT police to store evidence recovered by officers from crimes across Canberra.
A review of security arrangement at the centre has been launched following the fire.
Detective Acting Station Sergeant Mark Rowswell appealed for anyone with dash-cam footage, or who witnessed the incident to come forward.
"I would strongly urge anyone with information on this incident to contact police or CrimeStoppers immediately," Detective Acting Station Sergeant Rowswell said.
