An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Downer on Thursday morning.

The boy was hit near the roundabout at the intersection of Frencham Street and Bradfield Street around 8.30am.
An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said the boy sustained lower leg injuries in the incident.
The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
