Angel Has Fallen (MA):
Ageing Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is framed for the attempted assassination of the US president and must evade his SS colleagues as well as the FBI while seeking the real threat and (again) protecting the president. This film is the third in Butler's "Fallen" action series after Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and London Has Fallen (2016) - Mike is a trouble magnet! Morgan Freeman has been "promoted" from his previous role as speaker of the House to president. Mike's father is played by Nick Nolte (The Prince of Tides).
The Australian Dream (MA):
This documentary directed by Daniel Gordon and written by Stan Grant uses the story of AFL legend Adam Goodes - including the booing he faced later in his career - as the prism through which to tell a deeper story about race, identity and belonging in Australia.
Overcomer (PG):
A high school basketball coach must face challenges confronting his family and his team when the town's largest manufacturing plant shuts down. Alex Kendrick (War Room) directed, co-wrote (with his brother Stephen) and stars in this Christian-oriented film.
Weathering With You (PG):
Hodaka, a high-school boy who has run away to Tokyo, meets Hina, a girl who has the power to stop the rain and clear the sky. This Japanese animated feature has English subtitles and was written and directed by Makoto Niitsu.
